Come join us and share time with other Moms just like yourself, who have children who are not of school age yet. We meet on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays each month through May. We start at 9am and wrap up by 11am. We have an amazing group of volunteers staffing our MOPPET program where your children are taught Bible Stories and lessons. Infants and children through kindergarten are welomed to come. Each meeting starts with prayer and devotion, followed by a delicious hot breakfast. Over The Net Volleyball Tournament 4 On 4 (10:00 am)
Over The Net Volleyball Tournament Benefiting Special Olympics Illinois Summer is coming and New Life Church is hosting the first 2012 Over The Net Coed Volleyball Tournament on Saturday, May 26, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This tournament will benefit Special Olympics Illinois, an organization that provides year-round sports training and competition in a variety of sports for children and adults with intellectual and physical disabilities. New Life Church has partnered with Special Olympics Illinois. This is a Co-ed, 4 on 4, grass volleyball tournament. Each team must have at least two girls and at least one guy in order to play. Cost is $80 per team, $20 per individual. Prizes will be awarded for first and second place teams. CASA Training Class (5:00 pm)
The Vigo County CASA program trains community volunteers to speak up on behalf of foster children’s safety and well-being. They do this by being their voice and speaking as to the best interest of the children they represent in juvenile court proceedings. CASA will begin training a new group of volunteers on May 30. (SUBMIT APPLICATION BY 5/24 to be considered for this training class.)
